Award‑winning supported living development Mountain Road

Partners behind an award‑winning supported living development in Caerphilly were delighted to welcome the Cabinet Secretary, Jayne Bryant MS, for a visit to the newly completed Mountain Road development which includes Tŷ’r Orsaf a supported housing project.

During the visit, visitors toured the development and met residents, hearing first‑hand what their new homes mean to them. Huw, one of the residents, proudly welcomed the Minister into his flat and enjoyed showing her around, while a resident in the transitional accommodation shared how the scheme is supporting him to build a more settled and independent future.

Delivered by Codi Group in partnership with Caerphilly County Borough Council and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, the scheme has transformed the former Caerphilly Police Station site into 45 new apartments. The development helps meet local housing needs while providing the right mix of support to enable residents to live well.

This project shows what’s possible when organisations work together with people and communities to create homes that support better futures. If you’re interested in how supported living schemes help people live independently in the community, this one’s for you.
