World Mental Health Day, 10th October- Prioritising mental health in the workplace.

We can all benefit from improving our mental health and wellbeing and when we take time to look after ourselves, we feel better and are more able to cope with the difficulties that life may throw at us.

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s Melo website has self-help information and advice, as well as free courses and resources to help you manage and improve your mental health and wellbeing and cope with difficult times in your life.

Melo includes:

  • Topic pages on specific mental health conditions including Anxiety, Depression and Stress.
  • Information to help you look after your wellbeing including Five Ways to Wellbeing, 10 Top Tips for Mental Wellbeing and Healthy Eating.
  • Information to help you cope with life and difficult situations including Grief and Bereavement, Money Worries and Parenting.
  • Over 60 FREE courses.
  • Over 370 FREE resources.
  • Over 80 helplines and services where you can access support.
  • An accessibility tool which can convert information into over 100 different languages, can convert text to speech, magnify the text and more.
  • Fully funded training opportunities for anyone working in Gwent, including the Gwent Connect 5 programme. Evaluation of the course has been shown to increase the knowledge, skills, confidence and motivation to have everyday mental health conversations with others and motivates participants to make positive changes in their own lives.

Gall pob un ohonom elwa o wella ein hiechyd meddwl a'n lles a phan fyddwn yn cymryd amser i ofalu am ein hunain, rydym yn teimlo'n well ac yn fwy abl i ymdopi â'r anawsterau y gall bywyd eu taflu atom.
