Regional Area Plan
Every local Council and health board needs to make and share a plan for their area, called an Area Plan. This plan shows what services they will provide based on the care and support services people say they need when we complete our Population Needs Assessment (PNA). The plan must include:
- How partners will work together.
- When we plan to pool money for care and support services.
- How we plan to deliver care and support services.
- Information about preventative care and support services.
- How we plan to give information, advice, and assistance.
- How we will provide services in Welsh.
The Area Plan will align with the Integrated Service Partnership Board (ISPB) Plans. These plans are made by thinking about what people need, working to provide health and care services designed for the people who live in that area, sometimes called Place-based Care. The ISPBs will work together with the Regional Partnership Board (RPB), the Regional Public Service Board, and local wellbeing groups in Gwent. The 5 ISPB plans can be found here.
